Swine flu: 31 confirmed cases, 3 under observation
Two more cases have been reported from Punjab and one from Shimla.

New Delhi: Two more cases in Punjab and one in Shimla have taken the number of suspected swine flu cases in the country to 34.

The family of 38-year-old Ashok Kumar who belongs to Dehra village in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh was quarantined after it was reported that he was suffering from swine flu.

Kumar had returned from Bahrain on Friday said state Health Minister Rajeev Bindal.

Hyderabad also reported one more case of swine flu taking the total number of cases in the city to 13. A nine-year-old boy who arrived in Hyderabad from New York on Sunday on a British Airways flight showed signs of swine flu and has been quarantined at the Chest Hospital in Hyderabad.

There have been in all 31 cases confirmed so far among them, seven students from Jalandhar who returned from the NASA centre in Florida, USA.

Meanwhile, Union Health Secretary Naresh Dayal has asked developed countries to contain and check the spread of infection in their own countries.
