WARANGAL: Police prevented Telangana activists from obstructing BC welfare minister Baswaraju Saraiah, Warangal MP Sirisilla Rajaiah and Mahabubabad MP Porika Balaram Naik in Mahabubabad on Monday.The trio made a sojourn at Mahabubabad on way to Lingala, the native village of minister Komatireddy Venkat Reddy in Nalgonda district.They spoke to mediapersons and were proceeding to Lingala when TJAC leaders, knowing about their arrival, obstructed them. But soon police swung into action and an altercation ensued.Cops caned the TJAC activists and dispersed them when they tried to stop the vehicles of the ministers and MPs.TJAC division convener Doli Satyanarayana, leaders Fareed and S Ramaraju were arrested and shifted police station. Students laid siege to the police station demanding their immediate release. Mahabubabad MLA Malothu Kavita gave personal surety and ensured release of TJAC leaders.
