HYDERABAD: The official page of the Telugu Desam party on the social networking portal - Facebook - would be officially launched by TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu in the second week of January.Though, TDP started its page on Facebook long back, it was not fully geared up to go on public domain to provide a bird’s eye view of the party’s policies, programmes and projections.The IT team of the TDP has now finally conceived a format of news, views and other party updates on the page “www.facebook.com/TDPofficial” and as of now also achieved a record 14,000 likes besides a viral reach of over 16 lakhs.TDP IT department chief T Srinivasa Rao said that the Facebook page was dedicated to the youth who were future citizens and decision-makers. Youth would play a key role in campaign against corruption in the society and also for infusing transparency in administration and governance.The Facebook page of the TDP has special features like - Photo of the Day, A leaf from History of TDP, a photo every day on TDP founder NTR’s achievements, AP News Digest (specially culled political news from all newspapers), daily clippings of important political and human interest news in Telugu papers, video clippings of major scams and political developments of the day.The objective was to present the Facebook account to the youth as a right platform to air their views on politics, developments in the state and across the country and also encourage a debate on burning issues, Srinivasa Rao said.TDP has already has its own website “www.telugudesam.org”. It is regularly updating the website on a daily basis and giving its analysis on latest political developments, he said.
