Tech park pays tax dues

BANGALORE: BBMP’s initiative of collecting property tax seems to have become fruitful. It has received Rs 10 crore from Bagmane Tech Park which was one among the leading property tax defaulters.A press release from the BBMP said the Bagmane Tech Park paid the tax dues after it announced the names of property tax defaulters in media and started beating drums in front of such parties. These steps will be taken by BBMP for all the property defaulters whose due amount is minimum Rs 1 lakh.BBMP Commissioner M K Shankarlinge Gowda has appealed the public to pay their tax dues before  action is taken.
