Tech workshop conducted

A workshop by Vedic School of VLSI Design on 'HDL for Chip Design' in association with Vignaan Bharthi Institute of Technology was conducted in the city recently.

Very Large Scale Integration (VLSI), is what is responsible for making all the electronic devices thinner and more smarter. With integrated devices like the Smart phone which works as a phone, music player, camcorder, digicam, e-book reader, personal computer for emails and web browsing and so many playing an integral part in the industry, VLSI is the key.

Dr Chandra Shekar, PhD, Senior Manager R&D, Bharath Dynamics Ltd (BDL) was one of the key speakers at the two-day event.

Information on VLSI Front End design using Verilog HDL, FPGA introduction and implementation on FPGAs, how to write RTL Code and so on were the area of interest.
