HYDERABAD: A reunion of old friends turned fatal for a software engineer as he drowned in a swimming pool at a resort in Shamirpet in the wee hours of Sunday. The deceased, Chandrasekhar Chaitanya (23), a resident of Kompally on the outskirts of the city, was working with the Mahindra Satyam from the last two months. Chaitanya completed his graduation from an engineering college in Visakhapatnam.His friends secured jobs in Bangalore and some other places and all of them planned to meet at Vesta Homes in Shamirpet. According to police, Chaitanya and his friends consumed liquor till 2.30 a.m. and some of them entered the swimming pool. After sometime, all of them, except Chaitanya, returned to their room in the resort. Assuming Chaitanya was still in the pool, all of them fell asleep. On waking up this morning, one of the friends found Chaitanya’s body floating in the pool and alerted the security.Youth’s body found in Talabkatta lakeBody of a 24-year-old youth was found in the Talabkatta lake at Langer Houz on Sunday. The body, identified to be that of Parvez, a resident of Chota Bazar in Golconda, was found by a security guard of a local MCH park near the lake. Police found injury marks on his body and ears. His body was sent to Osmania hospital for autopsy. According to police, Parvez left home on Saturday night telling his parents that he had some work in Orissa. He said he would return home on Tuesday.He was an auto drivercum- videographer. Police said Parvez had a dispute with three persons, few days ago. over a petty issue and the trio threatened him of dire consequences. Police suspect that Parvez was killed at some other place and his body was later dumped in the lake. A case has been registered.
