In a temporary relief for AAP MLA Somnath Bharti, the Delhi High Court on Tuesday said he cannot be arrested till September 17. The court has asked police to submit a status report within two days.
This comes after Bharti moved high court seeking protection from the arrest in connection with a domestic violence and attempt to murder case filed by his wife.
His wife, Lipika Mitra, had filed a complaint of domestic violence with the Delhi Commission for Women on June 10 alleging that her husband had been abusing her ever since their marriage in 2010. She had also given a complaint to police in this regard.
