Mumbai: The 10th Third Eye Asian Film Festival will be held in the metropolis from December 22-29. The P L Deshpande Maharashtra Kala Academy has joined hands with Asian Film Foundation this year to co-host the event, Kiran Shantaram, Chairman of Asian Film Foundation said.
According to Festival Director Sudhir Nandgaonkar, entries have been received from over 400 films from different Asian Countries including Iran, China, Japan, Israel, Philippines, Indonesia.
Out of these only 100 films and 50 Short Films will be shown during the week-long festival. A dozen films will be shown in the competition section.
The Ravindra Natya Mandir at Prabhadevi in Central Mumbai will be the festival's main venue. The films will also be shown in Thane, Nandgaonkar said.
