Third post-mortem on Anils body Thursday

HYDERABAD: Yet another post-mortem would be performed on the body of T Anil Reddy, the music director who died under suspicious circumstances a few months ago, on August 11 following a decision by the High Court.Meanwhile, the case which is being investigated by Narsingi police would be taken up by an assistant commissioner of police rank officer from now on.Anil Reddy, who scored music for films like Gamyam, died under mysterious circumstances three months back. Cyberabad police, who have investigated the case, exhumed Anil’s body after nearly two months and performed two post-mortems but found no evidence of murder. Anil’s brother Prakash Reddy approached the High Court on August 5 and requested for a third post-mortem examination (PME) and the intervention of the Cyberabad police commissioner into the case. The HC ordered for the third post-mortem specifying a few requirements.According to Cyberabad police commissioner Ch Dwaraka Tirumala Rao, the PME would be conducted under the supervision of forensic experts of Osmania and Gandhi medical colleges at the Bhoiguda cemetry in Secunderabad from 10.30 a.m on August 11. “It is also ensured that the doctors who conducted the first and second PME’s are not associated with the third one as per the HC orders,” Tirumala Rao said. Tirumala Rao also transferred the investigation of the case from the Narsingi police inspector to ACP (crimes) M S Venugopala Rao. “He will verify the investigation done so far and carry out further investigations including the third PME. He has been asked to look into all points raised by Prakash Reddy in connection with the case,” the ACP said.
