Dosa is one of the most popular South Indian dishes. It is served with sides of sambar, coconut chutney, and potato filling and makes for a perfect breakfast dish. Recently, a dosa shop in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, has garnered attention for selling different varieties of dosa. According to reports, this popular dosa shop is located on MC Road in Thiruvananthapuram. It has been there in the same location for the past three years and has become popular for selling a variety of dosas. More than 10 varieties of dosas are sold in this shop.
The most popular things here are the masala dosa and ghee roast dosa, which are loved by Malayalees. Apart from this, there are varieties of dosa available here including tomato dosa, cheese masala dosa, ghee powder dosa, Thattu dosa, and egg dosa. Tirunelveli native Navneet Kumar and his family run the shop.
The shop remains open from 1 pm to 1 am. Most of the people who come to the shop are passengers on the MC road. Another unique feature of the shop is that it is not too expensive. Non-vegetarian dishes are not sold, only egg dosa and egg omelettes are available here. This shop is located just before reaching Carrot Junction while travelling to Thiruvananthapuram on MC Road.
With dining out becoming increasingly expensive, even a simple meal can strain one’s budget. A few days ago, a post by a woman about the affordable prices at a South Indian restaurant in Bengaluru caught everyone’s attention.
A user taking to X (formerly Twitter) shared a photo of the restaurant’s menu and compared it to the well-known Rameshwaram Cafe in Bengaluru, famous for its South Indian cuisine. The user revealed that the restaurant’s name is Taaza Thindi, located in Bengaluru’s Jayanagar.
According to the menu shared in the post, the prices were impressively low, with a single idli and vada costing just Rs 10 and a masala dosa priced at Rs 20. Not only this, but other South Indian delicacies such as Kesari Bhat, Kharabhath, and Chow Chow Bhath were also offered at similarly affordable prices.
