Generally, during the puja archana in any temple, Swami uses Tulsi leaves or different types of flowers. It is a common thing that happens in every temple. But in Lord Sree Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple in Bhadrachalam Telangana, the priests are conducting the puja archana program on behalf of the devotees using golden Tulsi leaves and golden flowers in the worship.
But this special puja program is conducted only for two days a week. In this context, Krishnamacharyu, the Ramayana reciter of the temple, shared in a recent interaction about when these pujas are performed, how to participate in these pujas and other details.
The procedures for praising the Lord are very clearly explained in the Agama Shastra. Krishnamacharyu shared that if one worships the Lord with different metals, different results are seen. In this order, the best metal is said to be gold. Performing arhana to the Lord with gold can get special results.
Ordinary devotees do not have the opportunity to worship the Lord with gold. In this context, the temple authorities are providing an opportunity for ordinary devotees to participate in the service of the Lord and praise the Lord with gold.
So, every Saturday, Suvarna Tulsi Archana, and every Sunday, Suvarna Pushparchana puja, are held, especially in Sree Sita Ramachandra Swamy Temple.
Devotees who have to participate in these pujas have to wear traditional attire and buy a ticket for Rs 500 to participate in this puja ceremony. The ticket is also available both online and offline. Suvarna Pushparchan is held every Saturday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Suvarna Tulsi Archana is held every Sunday from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Krishnamacharyu, the priest who recites Ramayana in the temple, also added that even common devotees will be given an opportunity in this program.
