RAJAHMUNDRY: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy today said Congress was trying to "bring back" some of its legislators loyal to YSR Congress chief Jagan Mohan Reddy."Our party leaders and we are making all efforts to bring them (the legislators), who are with Jagan Mohan Reddy, to Congress party", Reddy said here after distributing the 'tenant farmers credit cards' to the licenced cultivators. With the cards the farmers could avail credit at subsidised rate from banks and other financial institutions.Around 21 MLAs and 2 MPs of Congress had attended the recently held plenary of YSR Congress though they continued to be the members of Congress. To a query over why no action was taken against the legislators for attending the plenary, Reddy said, "Our party high command, leaders and we are all making efforts to bring the MLAs, and others back."Jagan Mohan Reddy, son of former chief minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy, floated YSR Congress after resigning from Congress as an MP.Jagan later won a by-election held for Kadapa Lok Sabha seat by a huge margin and his mother Vijayalakshmi from Pulivendula assembly constituency defeating her brother-in-law and senior Congress leader Vivekananda Reddy.
