TTD EO charged with bias

Leaders from various political parties criticised TTD executive officer LV Subramanyam, for shifting Dalit employees working on Tirumala to Tirupati, accusing them of indulging in practice and propagation of another religion.

At a round table conference held here on Sunday, Republican Party of India, state secretary Anjaiah said that TTD EO was biased and is harassing Dalit employees under the pretext of practicing and propagating another faith.

He also said that TTD was denying admission to students belonging to Muslim and Christian communities, which is against secularism and the principles enshrined in our constitution.

CPM leader K Murali said that TTD, succumbing to pressure from RSS and VHP were acting against secular principles, while CPI leader C Penchalaih also expressed the same view demanding the TTD not to trample the rights of the citizens.

Later, in the meeting they adopted five resolutions including, action against officials responsible for the illegal confinement of two Dalit employees at a police station, to stop searching houses of employees without court permission and to follow secular principles as laid down in our constitution.
