Two GRP cops suspended for negligence of duty

Two constables of Government Railway Police (GRP) have been suspended for negligence of duty after a police rifle was found missing at Kandhla Railway station in Shamli district, police said on Sunday.

According to GRP SP Anand Kulkarni, some unidentified miscreants fled with the rifle of the two constables, Subodh and Rajiv, while they were asleep during night duty at Kandhla railway station.

The missing rifle was recovered from nearby fields, Kulkarni said, adding the two cops have been suspended for negligence of duty.
