New Delhi: Come April 2011 and the British government will impose a higher cap on immigration for all non-EU nations including India.

British Immigration Minister Damian Green conceded that increased immigration is causing racial tension in the United Kingdom - one of the many reasons for the UK administration to introduce a higher immigration cap from next year.

Fewer skilled professionals from India will be able to live and work in Britain starting next year. The minister speaking exclusively to CNN-IBN said. Green said that regulated migration would make minorities safer and more secure.
