The police said it is working on a plan of action and all illegal residents will be dealt with as per the law.
Uttar Pradesh Police is going to launch a drive against Bangladeshi nationals residing illegally in the state.
This was stated on Thursday by ADG (Law and Order) Mukesh Goyal, who was in Kanpur to inaugurate a high-tech police control room.
He said the police is working on a plan of action in this regard and all illegal residents will be dealt with as per the law.
On issue of reported pumping in of fake currency through Nepal border, the ADG said police in border districts have been asked to launch a drive to root out the problem.
