TIRUCHY: AIADMK panchayat chief’s daughter delivered a male baby at the hands of MDMK Mayor candidate, while a Muslim girl gave birth to twins on the rare date of 11.11.11 in the city. Ceasarian operations were involved in both the deliveries, but, it was done so after the pregnant ladies developed pain and were unable to deliver the babies naturally.AIADMK Anthanallur Union chairman Alagesan’s daughter Sathya (24) was admitted to the Fathima Hospital owned by Dr Rohaiah, who was MDMK’s Mayor candidate in the recent corporation elections, to deliver her third child. Her mother Rathinam is the Pettaivaithalai AIADMK panchayat chief.Though the due date for Sathya was November 14, she developed labour pain on Friday and was rushed to the Fathima Hospital. “We tried for a normal delivery till 10.25 but in vain and so we opted for a caesarean,” Rohaiah said. “We had to rush through the arrangements and it was about 11 am when she took her to the operation theatre and performed caesarean. At around 11.11 am, we took the baby out. It is a male baby weighing 3.25 kg”, the doctor said.As per astrology, the baby has been assigned Barani as his birthstar. The star is generally associated with politics and relatives of the baby were heard commenting about the involvement of those affiliated to two political parties during his delivery. In the other birth on this rare day, Fathima Mooshina (22) wife of A Allemdeen, a BHEL employee delivered twins through caesarean. Fathima was rushed to Janet Nursing Home in Puthur when she developed labour pain. Dr Suseela performed the operation and Fathima delivered a boy weighing 2.5 kg and baby girl weighing 2.3 kg. “Both the babies are kept at the post natal ward and the mothers shifted to the post delivery wards in the hospitals,” the sources said.
