Work to bring back Congress to power: KPCC

BANGALORE: Claiming that the Congress is the only party which can ensure prosperity in all sections of society, Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwara.Addressing a gathering of party  workers  on  the occasion  of  the  60-day  Congress Nadige Janara Balige, the KPCC president exhorted the party workers to strive hard and defeat the saffron party in the next Assembly elections. As the BJP government is facing severe internal and external crisis after being entangled in various corruption cases, it is high time to end the misgovernance, Parameshwara said.As the Lokayukta report nailed both BJP and JD(S) leaders, the KPCC president claimed that the Congress is the only party which can provide a stable and welfare-oriented government.After witnessing the maladministration of the last three years, people are eagerly waiting to show the door to the corrupt regime and Congress workers should shed their differences and bring the party to power, he added.Criticising BJP national president Nitin Gadkari for visiting and encouraging the Reddy brothers recently at Bellary, the KPCC president said that by lauding them, the real face of the BJP and its double standards on corruption have been exposed.He also criticised Chief Minister DV Sadananda Gowda for inducting legislators with a criminal background into his Cabinet.Taking a dig at both former chief minister BS Yeddyurappa and JD(S) leader HD Kumaraswamy for challenging each other to testify before the deity in Dharmasthala recently, the KPCC chief said that both of them lied before the god.
