A yoga teacher from Madhya Pradesh’s Gwalior was found hanging in China under mysterious circumstances. As per various reports, the teacher, identified as Prabal Kushwah, was found hanging almost a week ago following a fight over a financial dispute with the owner of the institute where he used to teach yoga.
While the Chinese officials are considering it a ‘suicide case’, the deceased’s family claimed foul play behind Prabal’s death and suspected the involvement a Chinese woman and her Indian companion. The family has alleged that Prabal was murdered by his colleagues.
Prabal last communicated with his family via video call on December 20 and after that, his phone became unreachable, reported Times of India. His parents tried to contact his female acquaintances in China, who they knew as ‘Su-Chin and Miss Rosie’, but there was no response from them.
Following this, Prabal’s parents contacted the Embassy to gather information about him only to learn that their son was no more.
Prabal came in contact with the Chinese woman and an Indian named Rosie while pursuing a diploma in yoga course in Bengaluru. He was later offered a job at a yoga centre in Beijing, following which he left for China in February last year.
It has been learnt that Prabal’s parents have sought assistance from Indian Embassy to bring his body home from China. However, they were told that the process may take 40-45 days.
Prabal’s father Surendra Kushwaha reached out to Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia to intervene in the matter and help him bring his son’s body to India.
