Youths honoured for rescuing woman

KOCHI: Two youths, Firoz and M J Rizwan Rahim, were honoured for rescuing a young woman, who attempted suicide from Venduruthy Bridge.The former students of  Darul Uloom Higher Secondary School were honoured by Excise Minister K Babu at a programme organised at the school.Cash awards and prizes were given by the school authorities for the bravery the students showed in rescuing another individual’s life.School manager  H E Mohammed Babu, MLA Hibi Eden, ADGP Abdul Rasheed, personal assistant to education deputy director M B Murali, MES All India vice-president K K Abubacker and councillor Sudha Dileep Kumar were also present at the function.
