Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela, the world's first mega musical about Shri Krishna, is set to debut at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) on August 15, 2024

Aamir Khan praised “Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela” being showcased at NMACC’s Grand Theatre, calling it an extraordinary production with stunning visuals, amazing music, and superb choreography. He highlights the high quality of the show, emphasizing its significant contribution to the future of theatre in Mumbai, thanks to the impressive infrastructure at Jio Centre.

“With such outstanding infrastructure, Mumbaikars will enjoy a greater range of on-stage talent, all of which requires a venue like this to be truly showcased,” adds Khan.

“Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela,” the world’s first mega musical about Shri Krishna, is set to debut at the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) on August 15, 2024. Conceived by Dhanraj Nathwani, this 120-minute production will run until September 1, 2024. Nathwani describes the musical as a labor of devotion, aiming to showcase Shri Krishna’s timeless stories and divine qualities in a new light. He hopes to provide audiences with a profound experience of Krishna’s divine saga.

Executive Producer Bhoomi Nathwani promises an immersive experience, enriched with captivating storytelling, breathtaking visuals, and evocative music. She expresses gratitude to the cast and crew for their dedication, anticipating that the audience will be deeply moved by the performance of over 180 artists.

The musical features lyrics by Prasoon Joshi, an acclaimed Indian lyricist and screenwriter. It delves into lesser-known aspects of Shri Krishna’s life, exploring his journeys from Vraj to Mewar and Mathura to Dwarka. Directed by Shruti Sharma, a noted expert in musical theatre, the production uniquely portrays Krishna’s forms of Shrinathji and Dwarkadheesh.

The show will also feature a rich soundtrack of 20 original compositions by Sachin-Jigar, blending Western symphonic sounds with Indian classical, Haveli Sangeet, Rajasthani and Gujarati folk, and Hindustani semi-classical music. Production designer Omung Kumar has created scenes that evoke ancient India, while choreographers Bertwin D’Souza and Shampa Gopikrishna deliver impressive dance sequences. Neeta Lulla’s costumes, totaling over 1,800, vividly bring to life the mythical characters.

With contributions from National Award-winning writer Raam Mori and seasoned producers Parthiv Gohil and Viral Rachh, “Rajadhiraaj: Love Life Leela” promises a rich visual and narrative experience, making it a must-see theatrical event.
