Director Raja Menon's 'Airlift' starring Akshay Kumar and Nimrat Kaur has collected over Rs. 94.50 crore in just 9 days. The movie released on
January 22 and made Rs. 12.35 crore on the opening day, followed by Rs. 14.60 crore on the second day as per the updates by the trade expert Taran Adarsh. The collections witnessed a major boom on January 26, which was a national holiday on the occasion of Republic Day.
Airlift, which is almost nearing to the coveted Rs 100 crore club will be the actor's fourth film to cross this mark after 'Housefull 2', 'Rowdy Rathore' and 'Holiday'.

Di'Airlift', which also stars Purab Kohli along with 'The Lunchbox' actress Nimrat Kaur, tells how the Indian government evacuated 170,000 people of Indian origin and also of other nationalities through 488 flights during the war.
