Akshay Apologises For Violating Code of Conduct for Tricolour
Akshay Kumar was cheering the Indian Team at the ICC women World Cup Final when he shared a picture of himself holding the Tricolour upside down.

Akshay Kumar, who was in Lords Cricket Stadium to experience the final match of ICC Women's World Cup between India and England, faced backlash for violating the Code of Conduct for the Tricolour. The actor was seen holding the Indian National flag upside down while cheering Team India.

Akshay himself tweeted the picture, unaware of his folly but later realised his mistake and deleted the tweet. The 49-year old actor has now issued an apology which reads, "Extending my sincerest apology for violating the code of conduct for the tricolor. Didn't mean to offend anyone, the picture has been removed"

The actor has been shooting in Leeds, for his next project, Gold which is based on the story of independent India's first Olympic gold win by the country's men's hockey team. The actor was excited for the match of Women in Blue and took a train all the way to lords to support the team.

He also interacted with the members of the team, as they lost the final match but won hearts with their consistent play. Akshay tweeted, "Even Broken Hearts Can Laugh!! These Women have started a revolution & I couldn't be more proud ???????? #WWC17Final"

What's your reaction?
