And when the two came together for an event recently, we were completely impressed with their off-screen chemistry. While Akshay is popular for his association with martial arts, Alia, who's busy with Badrinath Ki Dulhania and Dear Zindagi, looked enthusiastic as she championed the cause of women safety.
"A Sunday well spent at @akshaykumar women's self defence centre!!Such strong, inspiring girls & such a great initiative @AdityaThackeray," Alia tweeted after she attended the event.
As evident from the photos, Alia was happy to cheer girls at the prize distribution ceremony.
