Alia Bhatt has once again become a victim of deepfake. In recent times, several actresses including Rashmika Mandanna, Katrina Kaif and Kajol have fallen prey to deepfake. The most recent morphed video of Alia that has surfaced online shows her face morphed onto actress Wamiqa Gabbi’s figure.
In fact, the original video was shared by Wamiqa on her Instagram account a few days back. In the clip, the ‘Jubilee’ star was seen flaunting her figure in a red saree, which she had opted to wear for the screening of Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Netflix series ‘Heeramandi’, where Alia was also present.
The deepfake video has garnered a strong reaction from Alia’s fans. One user wrote, “Is this legal?? you’re using Alia’s face.” Another one said, “This is the actual video of Wamiqa Gabbi. They replaced it with Alia’s face using AI.”
Here’s the original video shared by Wamiqa on her Instagram account:
This is not the first time Alia fell prey to deepfake technology. Earlier, a morphed video of Alia Bhatt showed a girl dressed in a floral co-ord set sitting on the bed and making gestures to the camera. The manipulated video not only copied the actress’ face, but also copied her voice and gestures quite accurately.

Before this, a digitally altered video of Rashmika Mandanna went viral where her face was edited over the clip of British Indian influencer Zara Patel. The ‘Animal’ actress also reacted to the deepfake and shared her concerns.
“I feel really hurt to share this and have to talk about the deepfake video of me being spread online. Something like this is honestly, extremely scary not only for me, but also for each one of us who today is vulnerable to so much harm because of how technology is being misused,” Rashmika had shared on social media.
