Actors Arjun Kapoor and Rakul Preet Singh had shot and wrapped a cross-border love story amid the Covid-19 pandemic. The film has now been titled Sardar Ka Grandson and will release on Netflix.
Actors John Abraham and Aditi Rao Hydari will be making a cameo in the film. Sardar Ka Grandson also stars Neena Gupta, who will play Sardar, Arjun Kapoor’s character’s grandmother.
Arjun Kapoor took to Instagram to announce the film. He wrote, the film on Instagram. Arjun Kapoor wrote, “Gather your parents and grandparents for this one, Sardar ka Grandson is coming soon to @netflix_in #SardarKaGrandson (sic).”

In a statement, Nina Gupta said, “This is a heartwarming story filled with lots of emotions and laughter. It’s the perfect family watch as you embark on a journey with my grandson as he fights all odds to fulfill my last wish. This is the first time I am playing a character like this one and I am excited to see how the audience reacts to it!”
Arjun Kapoor also expressed his happiness about working with a talented ensemble cast. “Working alongside such a talented ensemble cast was an enriching experience for me. We are hoping that the story will resonate with people across the globe with the raw & real emotions that it shows through a loving grandmother-son relationship,” the statement read.
The film has been directed by Kaashvie Nair and written by Anuja Chauhan. It has been produced by John Abraham under his company John Abraham Entertainment, along with Emmay Entertainment and T-Series.
