In a big development in the Renuka Swamy murder case, it has now been revealed that Darshan’s fan died of shock and haemorrhage. As reported by NDTV, the autopsy report found 15 wounds on his body including marks on the head, abdomen, chest and other parts. It also suggested that Renuka Swamy’s head rammed a mini truck which was parked in a shed in Bengaluru and has now been seized by the police.
Previously, Karnataka police officials also claimed that Renuka Swamy was beaten with sticks by Darshan and his aides, who then allegedly threw him against the wall, which led to his death. “It was Pavithra who instigated Darshan to punish Renukaswamy. Accordingly, the plan was hatched,” sources said.
Renuka Swamy was found dead at Sumanahalli Bridge in Bengaluru on June 8, 2024. He used to reportedly work at an Apollo Pharmacy branch in Chitradurga. Reportedly, Renuka used to send vulgar messages to Kannada actress Pavithra Gowad, a friend of Darshan. Angry about this, Renuka Swamy was murdered and his dead body was allegedly thrown in a canal at Kamaksshipalya, Bengaluru in front of Darshan. Reportedly, eight of the accused have implicated Darshan, claiming his presence during Renuka Swamy’s assault.
Darshan was arrested by the Bengaluru police from Mysuru on June 11 following which he was sent to 6-day police custody. His connection to the Renuka Swamy murder is being probed.
On Friday, police sources revealed that a series of evidences including wooden clubs and iron rods with which Kannada actor Darshan and his aides allegedly assaulted Swamy were found. Besides this, a rope which was allegedly used to tie Renuka Swamy was also found. The car, which was allegedly used to abduct Renukaswamy from Chitradurga to Bengaluru was also seized. Another car which was allegedly used to transport Renukaswamy’s body was been recovered.
15 people have been arrested in the case so far including Darshan and his close actress-friend Pavithra. Recently, Darshan’s co-star Pradosh and close aide Nagaraj were also arrested. Police sources claim that Nagaraj was looking after all the dealings of Darshan. He was reportedly also looking after Darshan’s farmhouse in Mysuru and was on the run ever since police arrested the actor earlier this week. Meanwhile, details about Pradosh’s connection to the murder case are not known as of now.
