The Kapil Sharma Show, which will complete 100 episodes on April 23, has seen some of the most eminent names of Bollywood leaving with tears of laughter in their eyes. In its heydays, the show literally had viewers rolling on the floor laughing and the studio audience in splits.
On the occasion of the 100th episode, Kapil Sharma, the ace comedian and host of The Kapil Sharma Show discreetly thanked not only his fans but also his team members - both current and the ones who've left - for their contribution. Even though he didn't specify any names, it's clear that he intended to thank Sunil Grover and others like Chandan Prabhakar and Ali Asgar who left the show after the much-hyped mid-air tiff.
In an emotional message, Kapil said, “Today is our 100th episode. I would like to thank our audience, all the celebrities who've come to our show - be it from Bollywood, sports industry or any other industry. I would like to thank our on-stage team and backstage team and all those people who are with us today, and those who are not with us. I would like to thank them all."
The transition from Comedy Nights With Kapil to The Kapil Sharma Show wasn't an easy one but the team sailed it through together until the recent ugly spat between the two. Grover might not have returned to the show after the tiff with Kapil, but Kapil's message will instantly give a flashback of the show's glory days.
Navjot Singh Sindhu, an important member of this comedy show, urged the members to keep the show going and indirectly asked Grover and others to sort out their differences and reconcile. He said, "I look at this show as destiny. This is a bouquet crafted by God. It's not possible for just one man to make and successfully run this show for so many episodes. I pray and request everyone to not let the flowers of this bouquet fall apart and keep it together."
"Yeh guldasta sirf mera ya tera nahi hai, yeh pure desh ka guldasta hai, isse bikharne mat do," he added.
