Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal, who tied the knot in December 2021, have consistently enchanted their fans with their sizzling chemistry and love towards each other. Not only do they share a great bond, but also show love and respect towards their respective in-laws. While Katrina Kaif makes sure to celebrate festivals with Vicky Kaushal’s parents, the latter is often seen bonding with his wife’s family.
Back in 2022, Katrina revealed the adorable nickname by which her in-laws, Sham and Veena Kaushal call her. During her appearance on The Kapil Sharma Show, the Fitoor actress was asked if she has been given any nickname by her in-laws, to which she quickly replied, “My in-laws call me Kitto.” This revelation left her Phone Bhoot costars Ishaan Khatter and Siddhant Chaturvedi smiling, along with host Kapil Sharma.
Moreover, in the same conversation, Katrina had shared that her mother-in-law cooks sweet potatoes for her because of her strict diet regime. “Initially, Mummy Ji used to urge me a lot to have parathas, and since I’m on a diet, I couldn’t have it, so I used to just have a bite. And, now that we have almost completed a year of our marriage, Mummy Ji now prepares sweet potatoes for me,” said the actress on the show.
Recently, Katrina Kaif also celebrated Karwa Chauth with her husband Vicky Kaushal and her in-laws. The actress’ festival photo dump opened with a heartwarming picture of her with her mother-in-law, who was seen giving her blessings. In another picture of the carousel, Vicky’s mother was seen appreciating her daughter-in-law. Sharing the post, Katrina wished “Happy करवा चौथ” to her fans.
Previously, during her appearance on Koffee With Karan season 7, the Kay Beauty founder shared what attracted her to Vicky and his Punjabi family. During her conversation with KJo, Katrina said, “The most important thing is the way Vicky is with his family, Sunny, his mom and dad, is so incredible.” She continued, “At some point, even if you find certain things about the way he would be in the beginning of our relationship are little bit restrictive, the one thought that always occurred to me was –- if this is the kind of respect, loyalty and the importance he gives to his family, this is the same respect, importance he is going to give to his family when he is married.”
For those who don’t know, the duo connected at a party and were in a relationship during the Covid-19 lockdown. They never confirmed their relationship until the day they got married. Speaking of her professional front, Katrina was last seen in the movie Merry Christmas, released in 2023.
