Farah Khan is undeniably a “yaaron ka yaar.” On Sunday, the Bollywood filmmaker hosted many of her friends at her home, celebrating their latest milestone achievements, both personal and professional. The newlywed couple Aditi Rao Hydari and Siddharth, Rajkummar Rao and his actress-wife Patralekhaa, Huma Qureshi and her rumoured boyfriend Rachit Singh, Saqib Saleem, Sajid Khan, Javed Akhtar, Ashutosh Gowarikar and Punit Malhotra were present at Farah’s get-together.
The filmmaker shared a video on her Instagram account, offering a glimpse at her Sunday special get-together. At the beginning, the newlywed couple, who got married earlier this month, can be seen cutting a scrumptious cake decorated with a sunflower. Aditi was seen feeding the cake first to Javed Akhtar, who stood beside her while the rest of her friends applauded in joy. Next, Rajkummar Rao marked the immense success of Stree 2 by cutting a modak while Siddharth cheered him up by saying, “700 crore”. Then, the entire group of friends celebrated the birthday of Rachit, Huma’s alleged boyfriend.
Sharing the video, Farah wrote, “Lots of friends to Celebrate!! @aditiraohydari & @worldofsiddharth ki shaadi @rajkummar_rao giving the biggest HIT!! @patralekhaa in #IC814 @rachitsingh08 ka happy budday! N just me having the best friends in the world! Lovvv them,” and tagged all her buddies in the post. Soon, the Stree 2 actor reacted to the post by saying, “Thank you so much, dear Farah ma’am. The best host,” followed by two red heart emojis.
Aditi and Siddharth took their fans by surprise when they announced their marriage just days ago. Dropping some ethereal pictures from their wedding photo album, the Heeramandi actress wrote, “You are my Sun, my Moon, and all my Stars…To being Pixie Soulmates for eternity…to laughter, to never growing up…To Eternal Love, Light & Magic. Mrs & Mr Adu-Siddhu.” The couple decided to get engaged earlier in 2024 after a few years of dating.
On the other hand, Rajkummar Rao starrer Stree 2 made a new record recently. It became the highest-grossing Hindi film ever, with a collection of Rs 586 crore domestically. The Amar Kaushik-directed film also stars Shraddha Kapoor, Pankaj Tripathi, Aparshakti Khurana and Abhishek Banerjee in main roles. Meanwhile, his wife Patralekhaa is also basking in the success of her latest release, IC 814: The Kandahar Hijack. She received appreciation from both audience and critics for her role in the Netflix series directed by Anubhav Sinha.
