Mumbai: Stepping up their protests against growing intolerance more filmmakers have decided to return their national awards. We are getting to know that filmmakers Kundan Shah and Saeed Mirza will announce their decision to return their national awards this evening.

Kundan Shah had won a National Award for his 1983 dark satirical film Jaane Bhi Do Yaaron. Both the filmmakers were trending on Twitter with the hashtag 'AwardWapsi'.

Last week- a group of ten filmmakers including Dibakar Banerjee and Anand Patwardhan returned their awards to protests growing intolerance and to express solidarity with students of FTII.
