Prabhas and Amitabh Bachchan-starrer Kalki 2898 AD has collected over Rs 1000 crore worldwide at the box office. It has been enjoying an uncontested run at the box office for over three weeks now. The film is directed by Nag Ashwin and stars the likes of Deepika Padukone and Kamal Haasan in prominent roles. Amitabh Bachchan donned the role of Ashwathama in the film. With the remarkable success of the film, Amitabh Bachchan has thanked his fans for making Kalki 2898 AD one of the biggest blockbusters in 2024. The makers of the film have shared the gratitude speech of Amitabh Bachchan on the social media platform X (formerly called Twitter), calling it a ‘Words Of Joy’ from the Shahenshah of Bollywood. The video has gone viral now.

Amitabh Bachchan said that he wants to express his gratitude to his fans for making Kalki 2898 AD successful. The feat which the film has achieved is no small thing, he added. The actor also spoke about Prabhas and his string of successful films at the box office. “This is a common thing for Prabhas as many of his films cross the Rs 1,000 crore mark, but for me it is special. I am indebted and grateful to become a part of Kalki 2898 AD,” said Amitabh Bachchan in the video. The makers also shared a glimpse of Amitabh’s behind-the-scenes in Kalki 2898 AD. The actor also credited the makers of the film for its glorifying success.

He said that for him this film was not just a mere work of acting for him but has been a great opportunity to learn about Indian culture and mythology. He appreciated Nag Ashwin for his commendable work of incorporating mythology into a film in such a credible way that it gained support and love from the global audience.
