There’s a new buzz in the world of Korean entertainment as it brings back something we all love and Korean drama is mostly known for. If you are fond of the cozy, heartwarming Korean romance, this is just the perfect time for you. Much to the excitement of Kdrama enthusiasts, the trailer for the romance-drama Love Next Door is here. The K-drama series features Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min in the lead roles. The story revolves around two childhood friends who reconnect as adults but things do not turn out as they expected.
On August 2, tvN dropped the trailer and gave viewers a sneak peek into the show’s premise. The clip shows Jung Hae-in and Jung So-min as adults, meeting again after many years. Their relationship, however, is filled with tension and results in frequent fights and banters whenever they meet. Despite this situation, their on-screen chemistry is quite impressive, as per the trailer.
“The two childhood friends, who have known each other since birth, look completely at ease even with their faces pressed up against one another. The close distance—or lack thereof—doesn’t seem to bother them in the slightest, raising the question of how this unromantic friendship will blossom into something more,” informs Soompi.
In the upcoming drama, Jung Hae-in’s character is a successful architect and CEO of Architecture Atelier In. He is depicted as a charismatic figure and is admired by all. Meanwhile, Jung So-min’s character has always been academically brilliant and now works as a product manager for a big company. Despite their shared history, their relationship has grown complicated over the years.

Apart from the leads, the drama also boasts an impressive supporting cast that includes Park Ji-young, Jo Han-cheol, Jang Young-nam, Lee Seung-jun, Kim Geum-soon, Han Ye-ju, Jeon Seok-ho, Lee Seung-hyeop, Shim So-young and more.
Directed by Yoo Je-won and written by Shin Ha-eun, Love Next Door is tentatively scheduled to release on August 17. The show will air every Saturday and Sunday on the South Korean network tvN and will also be available for streaming on Netflix.
