Just Hours Ahead Of Album Launch, Taylor Swift Teases Fortnight Music Video
Taylor Swift's 11th studio album, The Tortured Poets Department, will be released today.

Just hours ahead of her much-awaited 11th studio album The Tortured Poets Department’s release, Taylor Swift has dropped a surprising short teaser of the music video for Fortnight. The singer took the excitement to the next level by revealing that the Fortnight video marks her collaboration with none other than Post Malone. Notably,

Fortnight is the first single off her album, which will debut today on April 19. Later, the full music video for Fortnight will drop in the evening. While sharing the short trailer on Instagram, Taylor wrote, “At this hearing, I stand before my fellow members of The Tortured Poets Department with a summary of my findings. Album tonight.”

The six-second teaser is a fast-paced montage of black-and-white clips from the song, featuring quick shots of Swift and Post Malone in a bright white room at desks working on separate typewriters, leading to some dramatic scenes as they share a hug and throw chairs before the clip finally cuts to Swift’s close-up with a smokey eye and her signature red lip.

The only striking colour in the video is a stream of pinks and yellows from the Midnights singer’s typewriter.

Earlier, the 34-year-old shared another post announcing that Fortnight will be the first single from her album. Expressing her admiration for Malone, Taylor Swift wrote, “The first single from The Tortured Poets Department is…………. Fortnight featuring @postmalone. I’ve been such a huge fan of Post because of the writer he is, his musical experimentation and those melodies he creates that just stick in your head forever. I got to witness that magic come to life firsthand when we worked together on Fortnight. Honestly can’t wait for you guys to hear this song at Midnight TONIGHT and see the video at 8 pm ET TOMORROW.”

Besides Malone on Fortnight, another song from the album titled Florida is also expected to feature Machine singer Florence Welch.

The upcoming album marks Swift’s 11th-era album and will include 16 tracks and four bonus songs. She announced the project during the 2024 Grammy Awards while receiving her 13th Grammy for Pop Album of the Year. The singer also unveiled the tracklist from the album including the songs Fortnight, My Boy Only Breaks His Favorite Toys, So Long, London, But Daddy I Love Him, Florida!!!, and I Can Fix Him (No Really I Can) to name a few.
