Justin Timberlake Says He 'Apologises To Nobody' Amid Britney Spears Feud
After Justin Timberlake declared he was apologising to "nobody" at his recent concert, Britney Spears responded by calling him out for his comments.

The fallout between American singers Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears, which occurred over a decade ago, continues to be evident through their occasional verbal exchanges on social media. While it may not be classified as a full-fledged feud, both artists have engaged in some public back-and-forth, especially after the release of Spears’ memoir, The Woman in Me, last year. In the memoir, Spears made a significant revelation, sharing that during her relationship with Timberlake, she underwent an abortion, further adding that the singer did not want to be a father.

While this led to a major backlash against Justin Timberlake, clearly taking a few knocks on his reputation, Spears was seen responding to all the attention with a direct apology on her Instagram handle. This seemed to be a light attempt to let go of all the hard feelings; however, Timberlake’s recent concert came with an unexpected hit back, declaring that he would like to apologise to “nobody.”

Justin Timberlake’s ‘no apology’ statement at the concert

Videos going viral on social media show Timberlake from an NYC concert making the bold statement. Right before performing a song on stage, he blurted out, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologise to absolutely nobody,” making the crowd cheer. While he refrained from mentioning Spears’ name, fans are convinced that he indeed made this remark in reference to his ex-girlfriend.

Notably, this was one of Timberlake’s first public performances after his ex, Britney Spears, was seen praising his new songs Selfish and Sanctified on social media. She also wrote an apology note on Instagram. However, it seems Timberlake is no longer in an apology mood.

Britney Spears says, ‘Go cry to your mom again’

The war didn’t just end here. Britney Spears, in an indirect retaliation to his remarks, instantly took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of a basketball hoop with a cryptic message that read, “Someone told me someone was talking shit about me on the streets!!! Do you want to bring it to the court or will you go home crying to your mom like you did last time??? I’m not sorry !!!”

After dating for four years, from 1999 to 2002, Timberlake allegedly broke up with Spears by sending her a brief text message. It was also revealed in Spears’ memoir, further adding that she experienced “serious social anxiety.”
