Karisma Kapoor is one of those actresses in Bollywood who seems to be aging like a fine wine. Although she isn’t too active in films at the moment, she definitely knows how to steal the spotlight with her stunning style choices. Recently, Karisma attended the launch event of Coca-Cola Foodmarks in Delhi, along with Janhvi Kapoor to honour her grandfather and the legendary actor Raj Kapoor. The actress has now shared a bunch of pictures and a video on Instagram and expressed that it was a particularly special day for her.
The first few pictures show the actress posing in a black dress. Her dress is adorned with tiny pearl beads and features a side cut out at the waist and a round neckline. She completed her look with pearl earrings, cat-eye sunglasses, a mini handbag and black pumps. To add a vintage touch, she styled her hair into a side-parted high ponytail.
Meanwhile, the video shows the actress arriving for the event at the Embassy restaurant in Connaught Place in Delhi. She strikes elegant poses in front of the Embassy. The video also features Karisma and Janhvi Kapoor playing games, posing and enjoying Coca-Cola together. Alongside the photos, she penned a heartfelt note, “This was such a special day celebrating my grandfather Raj Kapoor with Coca-Cola India.”
Soon after, fans and followers of the actress showered love on her post. One user wrote, “All-time favourite,” while another user commented, “Looking too beautiful mam.”
During her appearance on Indian Idol 14, Karisma Kapoor became emotional while remembering her grandfather Raj Kapoor. She was deeply moved by the performance of contestant Mahima, who dressed as a joker inspired by Raj Kapoor’s character Raju from the film Mera Naam Joker and sang Jeena Yahan, Marna Yahan. Karisma said, “Ye gaane ke jo shabd hain (the lyrics of this song) is what we are.”
On the professional front, Karisma was last seen in director Homi Adajania’s comedy film Murder Mubarak alongside Sara Ali Khan, Dimple Kapadia, Vijay Varma, Pankaj Tripathi, Sanjay Kapoor and more. She will be soon gracing the OTT screens in the TV series Brown. The series revolves around a detective investigating the murder of a young woman from a well-connected family. It also features Surya Sharma, Helen and Surya Sharma in pivotal roles.
