Kashmera Shah has reacted to Jackie Shroff moving the court to protect his personality rights. Shroff recently moved Delhi High Court to protect his name and personality and bar people from using his name ‘Bhidu’ without his permission. Kashmera’s actor-husband, Krushna Abhishek is known for often mimicking Jackie in Kapil Sharma’s show.
On Tuesday, Kashmera took to her Instagram handle and shared a picture of Jackie Shroff and Krushna Abhishek. “To all the disappointed fans that have been messaging us I just want to tell you all that please understand that IMITATION IS THE HIGHEST FORM OF FLATTERY. Krushna loves #jaggu dada @apnabhidu @krushna30,” she wrote. Check it out here:

Why Did Jackie Shroff Move Delhi High Court?
On May 14, 2024, it was reported that Jackie has submitted a suit against various entities using his name, photographs, voice and his nickname, ‘Bhidu’ without his consent.
“His counsels also told the court that in some instances, offensive memes have been made using his images and that his voice has been misused for similar purposes as well. The Court was informed that in certain cases, pornographic material is being created using Shroff’s persona. The Court today issued summons on Shroff’s suit and said it will consider the case tomorrow on the interim injunction application,” Bar and Bench reported on X.
This is not the first time a Bollywood actor has approached the court to seek permission to protect their personality rights. Last year, Anil Kapoor had also approached the court to protect his personality rights. The actor won the case in January this year. The victory resulted in the protection of his name, voice, image, likeness, manner of speaking and gestures, and even the ‘jhakaas’ catchphrase.
