Natalie Portman Shares Gratitude Message 3 Months After Split With Benjamin Millepied

Natalie Portman has given a shoutout to her friends for lifting her up “again and again” during tough times. The actress who celebrated her 43rd birthday on June 9 dedicated the special occasion to her best pals. She dropped a carousel of happy pictures on Instagram, expressing gratitude to her friends for sticking with her through thick and thin. Natalie Portman’s appreciation post comes a couple of months after she finalised her divorce from her husband Benjamin Millepied, a director-choreographer by profession. The couple got separated last year and reportedly got divorced in February.

“This year, on my birthday, I want to celebrate my gratitude for my friends who lift me up again and again,” read Natalie Portman’s sweet caption. The album captured the Black Swan star spending quality time with her friends on several outings. She was seen enjoying a vacation to an undisclosed destination flashing a beaming smile surrounded by two of her buddies. Other snaps seemed to be clicked at star-studded events including the 2023 Cannes Film Festival afterparty and the Dior Fall-Winter 2023-2024 fashion show in Paris. Portman’s message serves as a clear indication that her friends were the biggest support system during her emotional upheaval.

Besides fans, many Hollywood celebrities extended birthday greetings to Natalie Portman. The actress’ Thor: Love And Thunder co-star Chris Hemsworth wished her a “Happy Birthday”. “Happy birthday !!!! Oh I love you!” wrote Julianne Moore. “Happy Birthday, you incredible diamond of a human,” commented Reese Witherspoon. Echoing a similar sentiment actress-comedian Mindy Kaling said, “Happy Birthday, beautiful.”

Natalie Portman and Benjamin Millepied met each other for the first time on the sets of the actress’s award-winning film Black Swan in 2009, reported Entertainment Tonight. They got married in 2012. After more than a decade, the former pair parted ways in May 2023 with Portman “quietly” filing for divorce in July of the same year. According to reports, Millepied was allegedly having an extramarital affair, leading to the divorce. Portman and Millepied share two kids together — 12-year-old son Aleph and 6-year-old daughter Amalia.

On the work front, Natalie Portman will next be seen in director Guy Ritchie’s heist adventure Fountain of Youth co-starring John Krasinski.
