New trailer is out for Matt Damon's 'The Martian'

A new trailer has been released for 'The Martian,' the highly anticipated upcoming film from 20th Century Fox and starring Matt Damon.

Damon's character, an astronaut, finds himself alone on Mars after a major accident, with little hope of rescue. In order to survive, he learns to make water and grow food on a planet otherwise incapable of sustaining life. Meanwhile back on Earth, NASA must decide his fate.

Also starring in 'The Martian' are Jeff Daniels, Jessica Chastain, Kristen Wiig and Kate Mara. The screenplay, adapted from Andy Weir's novel, was written by Drew Goddard.

The film makes its world debut at the Toronto International Film Festival in September before it arrives in cinemas on October 2.
