Actress Vidya Balan was left stunned by the Superstar Singer 3 contestant Atharv Bakshi’s performance in the singing reality show. In Superstar Singer 3’s episode, Atharv sang one of Vidya Balan’s film Humari Adhuri Kahani’s title song, amusing the actress.
Following his singing, the actress expressed her desire to recommend the young singer to her husband and famous film producer Siddharth Roy Kapur and other known producers to allow Atharv a chance to sing for any project.
Atharv Bakshi, hailing from Hazaribagh, Jharkhand has been winning the audience, captains and judge Neha Kakkar’s heart since the audition round. In the episode where Vidya Balan appeared as a guest, the contestant sang the titular song of Humari Adhuri Kahani along with his team captain Pawandeep Rajan on the piano.
Praising his performance, the actress said, “Atharv, thank you very much, your performance touched my heart deeply and I am blessed to hear your song.” She added, “At the age of 12, you managed to arouse such strong emotions in me that I got goosebumps while singing your songs and I am very emotional right now. Honestly, I have no words. Your talent is extraordinary and I am impressed.”
She further mentioned referring Atharv to her husband and other producers as he deserves this. She added, “It is one of the amazing things that I like about the kids here is that they give their 100 per cent, which is very inspiring for us.”
The actress appeared on the show along with her co-star Pratik Gandhi, to promote their recently released film Do Aur Do Pyaar. Shirsha Guha Thakurta marks her directorial debut with the romantic comedy film. It also features Ileana D’Cruz, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Priti Shroff and Sheeja Shetty in pivotal roles.
On the other hand, Sahil Chhabria directed the singing reality show Superstar Singer 3 which is aired on Sony every Saturday and Sunday at 8 PM. Harsh Limbachiyaa hosts it and houses the singer Neha Kakkar as a super-judge. Apart from this, Pawandeep Rajan, Arunita Kanjilal, Salman Ali, Mohammad Danish and Sayali Kamble have been made the team captains.
