Rajkummar Rao, who stars in the recently released Roohi with Janhvi Kapoor, has refuted rumours of having turned down the offer to work with the actress again in Dostana 2. Rumour had it that the actor refused the film because he did not want to play a homosexual character.
When Rajkummar was asked about refusing the film during an interview, the actor expressed shock, reported Filmfare. He said, “Someone said I didn’t want to play a gay character?” Rajkummar said he loves playing different characters on screen and would never turn down offers, especially interesting ones.
“I would love to play all kinds of roles and be part of different stories. I have played a goofball, a terrorist, a lawyer and so on. There’s no part I will decline. Right now, I am so excited about my line-up of movies,” he said.
The actor further added that he would love to work with Karan Johar and said, “He’s one of the finest filmmakers in the country. I hope something works out soon and I am pretty sure that it will.” Dostana 2 currently stars Kartik Aaryan, Janhvi Kapoor and debutante Lakshyya.
