Reply 1988 Star Sung Dong Il Has This To Say About Hyeri

Taking everyone by surprise, the Reply 1988 actor Sung Dong Il and his on-screen daughter Hyeri recently met and recalled their time on a recent episode of Hyell’s Club. The interview had many moments filled with laughter as the two actors talked about their shared past. Sung Dong Il had played Hyeri’s father in the beloved drama. During their conversation, he shared some insights regarding his opinion about Hyeri. He also recounted a specific moment when Hyeri’s confession had transformed his opinion about her.

During their conversation, Hyeri was curious about Sung Dong Il’s initial impressions of her. She asked him directly regarding his first opinion of her. With his characteristic humor, Sung Dong Il said, “I really wondered if she could act, but of course, I can’t either." His reply definitely made the whole studio erupt in sudden laughter.

Not satisfied with his answer, Hyeri pressed further and wanted a more genuine answer from him. Sung Dong Il then said that he found her to be just ordinary. “You were just normal. Your eyes are round, but I really like you. But then, it was like that when we finished working together," he explained.

Sung Dong Il went on to say that his opinion of Hyeri had actually changed one day when she had approached him and shared a special news she had been holding onto. She had recently bought a house for her parents. “Dad, I bought my parents a house. It’s so good. I really wanted to tell you, dad," she told him. This act of hers struck a chord with the actor. He also revealed that he hoped for his own children to grow up and develop a personality like her.

“I started to see you differently then. Honestly, that was really nice of you. That’s why I told you that back then. I hope my children grow up like you, with a good personality and everything."

At one point in their conversation, Sung Dog II also said that he is very proud to be on the channel which his daughter runs. He had come there to promote his upcoming film. At the end of the interview, he also tells Hyeri, “You are incredibly serious. You listen to other people well. You sympathise easily. You are also the brightest one."
