Mumbai: Salman Khan has announced to present each Indian athlete at the Rio Olympics with a cheque of Rs 101,000 as a "gesture of appreciation".
The actor is India's goodwill ambassador for Rio Olympics 2016. While the athletes are facing a hard time at the Games with just one medal on board till now, this gesture is going to bring a smile on their faces.
"As a gesture of appreciation for our Olympic athletes, I will present each one with a cheque of Rs 101,000," Salman tweeted.

He also appreciated Indian government for being supportive.

Earlier this month, YRF had also announced that it will honour Indian athletes who win gold at Rio with Rs one million.
