Shahid Kapoor starrer Udta Punjab has completed 8 years. The film, released in 2016, also starred Kareena Kapoor Khan, Alia Bhatt and Diljit Dosanjh in the lead role. On its anniversary, Shahid Kapoor shared a series of unseen photos and also flaunted his ripped body. He played the role of Tommy Singh popularly known as Gabru.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Shahid Kapoor shared photos and wrote, “Party 8 saal baad bhi – Going Hard!!” The first photo shows his monochromatic image with long hair and a mustache. “Mamma Da Boy,” we can also see the tattoo on his chest. Next are the glimpses of Shahid’s iconic scenes as Tommy Singh with the film’s title track in the background. The video also features his scene co-starring Alia Bhatt. A still from the movie is followed by a mirror selfie from the vanity van. He is also seen flaunting his muscular physique as he does rigorous workout sessions.

Work-wise, the Haider actor last made his big screen appearance with Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya alongside Kriti Sanon. The romantic drama directed by debut directors Amit Joshi and Aradhana Sah was released earlier this year in February. Later, the film was released on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video.
Next up for Shahid Kapoor is Deva. It is directed by Rosshan Andrews and stars Pooja Hegde, Pavail Gulati, Kubbra Sait, Abhilash Chaudhary, and Pravesh Rana in key roles. The action thriller follows the story of a brilliant and rebellious police officer investigating a high-profile case. The film is slated to release on October 11 this year.
