In the 2000s, Star Plus’ fantasy-based serial Son Pari was one of the most popular television series. The story revolved around a young girl named Fruity, who summoned her fairy godmother, Son Pari, and her friend Altu whenever she faced any challenging situation. The serial ran successfully for four years and concluded in 2004. Now, the millennials can rejoice as the lead cast of Son Pari recently united.
On September 2, Tanvi Hegde, who played Fruity, shared a carousel on her Instagram account featuring a then-and-now picture with her co-stars, Mrinal Kulkarni and Ashok Lokhande. The trio struck the same pose as they did in the show’s poster almost two decades ago. The other slides of the carousel featured some heartwarming glimpses of the actress with her two co-stars.
Sharing the pictures, Tanvi wrote, “A lot of you’ll ask if we meet, if we are still in touch and if you could get all of us together in one frame again, we made it happen for you! My literal parents on set and the bestest co-stars, this one is a trip down memory lane.”
Tanvi’s post made many people nostalgic, and they took to the comment section to share that they wanted a new season of their beloved show. “Ek season aur Please,” said one fan while another added, “How on Earth do each of them actually look pretty much the same after 20+ years! Is Son Pari actually pari?”
Meanwhile, Son Pari, aka Mrinal’s son, Virajras Kulkarni, took to his Instagram account to share a few snaps with the lead cast of the children’s fantasy serial. In the pictures, Tanvi, Mrinal, Ashok and Viraj flaunted their brightest smiles as they posed for the camera. Sharing the photos, he penned, “The one with the Son Pari reunion #IktuBiktuJhimPatuta.”
Just days before her reunion with her co-stars, Tanvi shared some fond memories from the sets of Son Pari. Her Instagram carousel includes a behind-the-scenes picture, their first official photoshoot, and a few stills from their shoot in Nepal, among others.
Besides Son Pari, 32-year-old Tanvi has starred in other memorable shows, including Hip Hip Hurray and Shaka Laka Boom Boom. She has also appeared in movies such as Shahid Kapoor starrer Vaah! Life Ho Toh Aisi! And Amitabh Bachchan’s Viruddh… Family Comes First.
