Sunny Leone to Sushmita Sen: Bollywood Celebrities Who Have Adopted Kids

The process of adopting a child in any part of the country comes with a lot of unwanted questions and controversies. Despite that, these celebrities have fought the hard fight and have given a grand life to less-fortunate children, setting a wonderful example for the society.

1. Sunny Leone

Sunny Leone and her husband Daniel Weber adopted a baby girl, leaving everyone pleasantly surprised. The couple adopted baby girl Nisha, 21-month-old from Latur, Maharashtra. The couple said that they had visited an orphanage two years ago and applied then. "Never in my life did I think that I want to adopt a child. People doing such amazing work at the orphanage changed my mind," Daniel Weber told Hindustan Times.

She tweeted on 25th july saying:"Thank you so much and I hope we make her so so happy everyday of her life till the day I die :)".

2. Sushmita Sen

Sushmita Sen fought a long battle to bring her baby, Renee, home. She wanted Renee to have company. This made her fight for the custody of another girl child, Alisah. She is now a proud mother of two beautiful daughters. The actress keeps posting pictures with her daughters on Instagram.

3. Mithun Chakraborty

Mithun is one of the most loved superstars of Bollywood. He adopted a girl found lying in the garbage bin. He named her Dishani. She has now grown up into a beautiful lady with her dearest brothers Namashi, Rimoh and Mimoh.

4. Salim Khan

Salim Khan (Salman Khan’s father) had adopted a small girl and named her Arpita. She has always seen around with her family and had even got the names of her family members tattooed on her body. Arpita got married to her long time boyfriend, Aayush Sharma in 2014 and now is the mother of a baby boy.

5. Subhash Ghai

This famous Bollywood director and his family adopted a little girl and named her Meghna. She persuaded her higher studies in London. Today she is a proud owner of her production school Whistling Woods. Meghna is married to Rahul Puri. Subhash Ghai is also blessed with a biological daughter, Muskaan.

6. Raveena Tandon

Raveena adopted two girls at the age of 21 when she was at the peak of her career. The girls, Pooja and Chhaya, were daughters of a distant cousin who was going through some financial trouble. She says they are like the two sisters she never had. While Pooja is married, Chhaya got married in January 2016. Raveena is also a full-time mother of her biological children Ranbir and Rasha.

7. Sandip Soparrkar

Sandip Soparrkar, being a single parent, had to wait for a long time to get the custody of his son, Arjun. After rigorous evaluation and interviews, he managed to prove that he was ready to take the responsibility of bringing up a child. He adopted Arjun before he even got married.
