Sushmita Sen Reveals Daughter Renee’s Reaction To Her Marriage Plans: ‘What’s The Need’

Sushmita Sen, one of the most popular actresses, recently opened up about her daughter Renee Sen’s reaction to her marriage plans. During a candid conversation at Rhea Chakraborty’s podcast, Sushmita revealed that her daughter is not very happy and says there’s no need. Sushmita Sen often grabs headlines for her affairs.

She shared that she once asked her eldest daughter, Renee, how she felt about her getting married. Renee responded, “No, absolutely not. What’s the need to get married? Not this person, not that person, no person. Don’t get married; why? You’re so cool.” On the same podcast, the Taali actress admitted that children benefit from having both a father and a mother but in her case, her kids don’t miss a father because they’ve never had one.

Earlier, in conversation with Siddharth Kannan, Sushmita replied on the same question and said, “Not at all. Because, they don’t have a father figure. You only miss what you have. If you have never had it.. the concept is… Now when I suggest to them that I should get married, they will be like, ‘What? For what? I don’t want a father’. But I may want a husband, it may have nothing to do with you! So we joke about that a lot. They don’t miss a father. They have Tata, my father and their grandfather. That is everything for them. Anytime they need to have a father figure and a great example, he is the man.”

Sushmita Sen is a single mother. She adopted Renee in 2000 while Alisah joined the family in 2010. The actress was last seen in Taali series. It revolves around the struggles faced by transgender activist Shreegauri Sawant. Her performance was loved.
