There is finally a new update on the highly-anticipated Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan film, Tiger vs Pathaan. The Yash Raj Films banner movie, which hints at a civil war between Tiger and Pathaan, has been long rumoured to be in the making. While fans got to see the two spies come together in Pathaan and Tiger 3, rumours have been doing the rounds that Salman and SRK will reunite for an action-packed Tiger vs Pathaan. Now, a new report has claimed that the actors will reunite this summer to start filming.
A source told Zoom TV that Salman and Shah Rukh have given their dates for an April shoot schedule and the film will be shot over the summer. “SRK and Salman have given their dates. As things stand today, the film should go on floors no later than April. The balance cast is being decided. The other modalities are fast being worked out,” the insider said.
It is unclear if Katrina Kaif and Deepika Padukone would return to the franchise. Katrina was seen playing Zoya in the Tiger series whereas Deepika was introduced into the spy universe as Rubina in Pathaan. It would also be interesting to see if Hrithik Roshan returns as Kabir in the film.
Last year, Salman had seemingly confirmed that Tiger vs Pathaan is in the works. In an interview with Variety, Salman was asked about the timeline on Tiger vs Pathaan and when he would start shooting for the same. “Tiger is always ready – so whenever things are locked – I will be there,” the Bollywood superstar said.
Tiger vs Pathaan will reportedly be directed by Siddharth Anand. According to the sources close to Bollywood Hungama, the much-hyped film is going to be a costly affair. The source had earlier revealed, “This film is mounted on a huge scale. As a result, its budget will be sky-high. Aditya Chopra and his team have locked the budget of Tiger vs Pathaan at Rs. 300 crores.”
