Kannada actors Upendra and Kiccha Sudeep are the most sought-after actors in the entertainment industry. They never leave a chance to lavish praise on each other and Sudeep did the same on one of the earlier occasions. The Kempe Gowda actor said that Upendra is an exceptional writer and has weaved charm in his every film with writing. Sudeep added that the audience will get to see the Super actor’s impressive writing skills in UI as well.
UI, written and directed by Upendra, is currently in the post-production phase and is slated to be released on the big screens in October 2024. Sunny Leone, Murli Sharma, Sadhu Kokila and others have also acted in this film. According to Sudeep, Upendra writes good ideas and can take the entire Kannada industry to great heights with his writing.
Upendra also reciprocated his admiration for Sudeep at their film Kabzaa’s press meet in Mumbai. He said, “This is my first pan-India film and I am very excited. You all know about Sudeep and the whole of India knows about Sudeep, what a fantastic actor he is. Thank you my dear friend Kiccha Sudeep for accepting this role and adding so much value to the film.”
Kabzaa starring Upendra and Sudeep in important roles released at the cinemas on March 17, 2023. This film is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Shriya Saran, Shivarajkumar, Murli Sharma and others also acted in this film. Kabzaa received poor reviews from the audience and tanked at the box office. The audience criticised the film for being the worst copy-paste of the hit KGF franchise. R Chandru directed this pan-India film. Despite the box-office failure and the audience reviews, the makers have announced the sequel to Kabzaa.
Kiccha Sudeep will next act in the film Billa Ranga Baashaa written and directed by Anup Bhandari. The film is currently in development. According to the OTT Play, Billa Ranga Baashaa, a futuristic fantasy film set in 2209 AD, was the first that Anup wanted to do with Sudeep.
Upendra will next work in Coolie directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj. This film is expected to be released in 2025.
