Bipasha Basu, Karan Singh Grover delete photos from their Maldives vacation after facing massive trolling.

After facing massive social media trolling, Bipasha Basu and Karan Singh Grover, who had earlier shared several photos from their recent Maldives vacation, have now deleted the posts. The actress, along with her husband and their daughter, jetted off to the island nation to celebrate her birthday. However, she faced massive backlash due to the ongoing political tension between India and Maldives.

Several posts featuring her Maldives vacation have now disappeared from her Instagram handle. Apart from the birthday post, the actress has now removed all of her vacation photos.

For the unversed, a few former ministers in the Maldives made derogatory remarks about PM Narendra Modi and Indians in general. They made snide comments about the Prime Minister after he visited the Lakshadweep Islands and urged fellow Indians to visit the picturesque location. The PM had also gone snorkelling as part of his trip. Following the remarks, a massive section of social media has made calls to boycott Maldives as a tourist destination.

Amid the boycott calls, Bipasha had earlier shared her new video from Maldives and ended up getting trolled. “Whole of your own Indian film industry is boycotting Maldives, but you are promoting it. Shame on you guys,” a comment read. Another asked her to ‘boycott Maldives.’ A third user urged her to visit Lakshadweep instead.

That was not the first post due to which Bipasha got trolled.

When she shared photos from her birthday post, many urged her to cut her trip short and return to India. “Bipasha being an informed citizen and changing your next trip to Lakshadweep would be a great example for your fans,” a comment read. “Ok now, stop advertising/promoting Maldivian resorts after the spit that happened! Let’s be more responsible towards being the best Indian nagaric!” a second user wrote.
